Animawings to Launch A220-300 Operations in September 2024

Animawings A220-300 launching September 2024

Romanian airline Animawings (A2, Bucharest Henri Coanda) will commence operations with its new A220-300 fleet on September 15, according to the ch-aviation schedules module. This will mark a significant milestone in its growth trajectory.

The airline will introduce two A220-300 aircraft and plans to operate five routes from Bucharest:

Cluj-Napoca: 5x weekly starting September 16
Iasi: 11x weekly beginning September 15
Larnaca: 3x weekly beginning September 16
Oradea: 7x weekly beginning September 15
Paris CDG: 7x weekly starting September 15

The company operates a single A320-200, which it transferred from its former parent company, Aegean Airlines (A3, Athens). In February, Aegean Airlines sold its remaining 51% stake in Animawings to Christian Tour Holding NV.

Ch-aviation has contacted Animawings for further information. Details regarding the registrations or serial numbers of the forthcoming A220 aircraft have not yet been disclosed.
